1805 50c Pcgs / Cac Vf25 O-105a R. 6 Draped Bust Major Rarity
1805 Draped Bust Half Dollar. Beautiful warm golden grey originality with accents of fiery orange and blue green when held in the light. Hard surfaces with exceptional metal quality. Considering the bust line comes softly struck on most 1805 halves, and that the rest of the coin looks better, and that the reverse looks VF35, we would say this is a PQ piece. A few tiny, toned in marks on each side are grossly magnified by the images, but they are hard to see in person. At any rate, it's one of the nicer quality examples that has come to market in recent years. CAC, or Certified Acceptance Corporation, green-stickers only coins that are solid or high-end for their assigned PCGS/NGC grades.
CAC will gold-sticker PCGS/NGC coins they believe to be under-graded outright. Looking for something out of the ordinary? We scrutinize thousands of PCGS and NGC slabs to provide you with coins that are truly special, and we do it with fast, knowledgeable, and courteous service. Whether you are seeking beautiful color, an exceptional strike; or maybe proof-like luster, a rare die variety, or even CAC verification; we have something for everyone.
